Apple iPod - You Can Play MP3

The Apple iPod from Apple Inc. is a portable media player that assures the users of perfect musical entertainment. The iPod was a result of Apple's research which resulted in the disclosure of the fact that the existing digital music players are "big and clunky or small and useless" with user interfaces that were "unbelievably awful". Apple developed the product in less than a year and unveiled it on October 23, 2001.

The name iPod was the contribution of Vinnie Chieco, a freelance copywriter, who was called by Apple to figure out how to introduce the new player to the public. The first iPod kiosks were demonstrated to the public in New Jersey in March 1998, and the commercial use of it began in January 2000. The trademark was registered by the USPTO in November 2003, and Grasso assigned it to Apple Computer, Inc. in 2005.

The Apple iPod can play MP3, AAC/M4A, Protected AAC, AIFF, WAV, Audible audio book, and Apple Lossless audio file formats ensuring the perfect musical entertainment. The iPod is generally associated with a host computer. Each time the iPod is connected to the host computer, iTunes are able to synchronise entire music libraries or music playlists either automatically or manually. Song ratings can be set on the iPod and synchronised later to the iTunes library, and vice versa. It is also possible for the user to connect the iPod to a second computer. Apple iPods generally function as mass storage devices to store data files. When the iPod is formatted on a Mac OS X computer, it uses the HFS+ file system format, which allows it to serve as a book disk for a Mac computer. The sound can be enhanced with the iPod's software equaliser (EQ) which has some EQ settings like R&B, Rock, Acoustic, indie, and Bass Booster which can result in fast bass distortion.

Is Nintendo Intentionally Limiting Production Of Wii?

Well, as we all know, the Nintendo Wii was released more than a year ago and trying to find the system is still very hard to find in stores. Why is that?

It is said that Nintendo's President and CEO here in the U.S., had held a telephone conference with the press to explain the reasons for the continued shortage of the Wii gaming system.

The CEO said that the reason for the problem is not that they are holding back their production or stockpiling the systems, the reason is that they could not have foreseen the huge demand their product would have created? Nintendo said that they have almost doubled their international production output by roughly 75% and they have increased their workforce by 300% in the U.S. alone!

Unfortunately for many, the Nintendo Wii gaming system is still on backorder in many areas in the country and many of the major retailers are saying that it could June or July before they become available at the their stores again. There are many people who have opted to purchase their Wii gaming systems through online vendors that have them in stock. But, the buyers are having to purchase the systems at a premium. So the Wii sales debate continues.

As anyone with any knowledge of supply and demand will tell you, that if you create a product that is so successful, why is it still hard to acquire even into late of this year? It seems to us that Nintendo is denying any wrong doing as far as stockpiling the product, which we believe is the case, but feel that there may be something else lingering in the very near horizon for the price of this much sought after gaming system.

We feel that part of the problem could be the U.S. currency problem. As some of you might already know, the dollar has been in a steep decline this recent past, which makes the Wii gaming system cheap to buy here in the U.S. in dollars versus other parts of developed countries. So, it would only make sense to send the system to other countries where Nintendo can get more bang for their buck.

So the answer is simple. If you are still searching to buy your Wii gaming system and are waiting for more to be delivered to stores and hoping to pay lower prices. You better think again. I am afraid you will be seeing higher prices before the end of the year if anything. We have already purchased ours at a slight premium and we suggest that you may rethink your position as well.

If you are still in a holding pattern regarding your purchase of the Wii, we recommend that you reconsider. We found a source that offer these hard to get Wii gaming systems at affordable prices. Visit our site to compare and get further info at: http://www.squidoo.com/wiisales
